Highest & best use development strategy to maximize site’s revenue potential: uses examined included restaurant/retail, hotel, spa/wellness center, culinary facilities, meeting space, office and residential. Both residential & tourism demand were examined to further assist in positioning Oliver as an agricultural resort destination.

Fairmont Golf Community, Nanoose, B.C.

Retail development & merchandising strategy for this integrated resort community located just north of Nanaimo on central Vancouver Island.

Kicking Horse Commercial Master Plan, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. Near Golden, B.C.

Retail development & merchandising strategy and development & design guidelines to identify the optimum size, types & positioning of retail, restaurant & entertainment uses & tenants.

Vancouver International Airport, Richmond, B.C.

Market study and merchandising strategy for the domestic terminal. Introduced ‘street pricing’ into the overall airport’s retail shops. Development strategy for land adjacent to the airport: uses included a 5 star hotel (i.e. Fairmont), office/business park, and retail/other commercial development such as a premium factory retail outlet.

Portside Mixed Use Waterfront Development & Convention Centre, Vancouver, B.C.

Examined the retail potential and merchandising strategy, including interest from retail and entertainment operators, for this extensive redevelopment of Vancouver's waterfront. Situated next to Gastown & the downtown core, the planned uses were an extension to the trade & convention centre, cruise terminal, seabus/skytrain station, and 1000 room Marriott hotel.

Cultural & Arts Profile for Portside, Vancouver, B.C.

Market and product profile of the CARE (Cultural Arts Retail and Entertainment) facilities in downtown Vancouver, prepared as a marketing package to attract tenants and annual feature events such as Cirque du Soleil to Vancouver.

Aberdeen Centre, Richmond, B.C.

Redevelopment and expansion strategy for this existing Asian oriented shopping centre incorporating cultural, arts, recreation, and entertainment (CARE) facilities within the project to reposition it to also cater to non '96Asian residents as well as become a major tourist attraction for the Vancouver region. Study also identified ways to integrate the centre into the existing fabric of the extensive Asia West district in Richmond '96the largest concentration of Asian retailing in North America.

Market studies, merchandising and implementation plans including addressing specific issues facing these downtowns as well as preparation of a business recruitment package to assist in attracting specific merchants to downtown Vernon.

Market & financial feasibility, economic impact, financing options, and merchandising strategy for this Eco-museum complex in the city of New Westminster, Greater Vancouver.

Market and Socio-economic impact study and management plan to assess the opportunity for a significant visitor attraction in the village of Stevenson, to be self-financing upon completion. This is a national historic parks site and the work was prepared for Parks Canada.

Market study and remerchandising strategy for a vacant department store to anchor the downtown area while mitigating the competing highway commercial downtown outside its core and attract tourists downtown.

Eco-rejuvenation Spa/wellness Retreat, Denman Island, B.C.

Vision/concept plan, market study and financial projections for this ecologically based spa/wellness/healing centre and retreat. Worked on the implementation stage, including rezoning, environmental impact assessments, servicing, and initial architectural/design of the 'green & sustainable based' accommodation, restaurant, general store and spa facilities as well as marketing strategies.

Highest & Best Use Development Potential for land in the Westbank area, near Kelowna, BC.

Assessed a land parcel for its development potential at the time of partial taking for the Ministry of Transportation & Highways. Evaluated its site and locational attributes, market conditions, recent development trends for residential, commercial, industrial, and resort development potential.

Market study examining the viability and size of the conference facilities, art gallery, and performing arts centre in the city of Prince George.

West Edmonton Mall, Edmonton, Alberta

We completed a feasibility study, including market and financial projections for Fantasyland’s multi-themed hotel. We created a market, financial analysis, cash flow projections, and economic impact for the four entertainment/theme park components. Finally, we reviewed marketing plan to validate financial forecasts.
